"A Reason to Live" presented at UBH Denton

Vanita related her moving story as the mother of a teen battling bipolar depression during the UBH Denton session yesterday. She also presented data on some of the latest studies regarding teens, depression and suicide before showing the new documentary "A Reason to Live" to an audience of more than 50 school counselors, private therapists, teachers and others who work with teens.
After the film, Vanita moderated a panel discussion, which included Annie Walley (left), from UT Southwestern/Children's Medical Center, and Caroline Cumbie (center), from Teen CONTACT.

Both members of the I AM H·E·R·E Coalition, Annie and Caroline were able to bring their perspectives to the issues raised in the documentary, based on their respective work with adolescents.
